*Australian ISPs roll out their planned anti-child pornography filtering system. The list of websites blocked has not been released, but Australian sources report the system is easy to bypass.

*Microsoft cuts a deal with Chinese search firm Baidu to power English language search results via Bing. Critics accuse the company of condoning censorship.

*After the Internet shutdowns during the Arab Spring, African journalists and bloggers worry that their countries will follow in the footsteps of Arab leaders.
