U.N. Official Wants ISPs to Filter Child Porn
CNET News.com reports that Juan Miguel Petit, U.N. special rapporteur on child pornography, wants to force ISPs to monitor their content for child pornography and to block access to it. He also pressed payment providers, such as credit card companies, to take further steps to prevent processing of payments for child porn. British Telecom's CleanFeed system already attempts such blocking.
